Our Technology

Technical flexibility and ability to meet expectations is a key success factor in a fast-growing and quickly changing industry. At Inter Technical Translations we employ as many modern technologies as applicable for the languages we are working with, and are developing our own to meet clients’ needs and respond to challenges the translation and localization industry is facing.

Following the Corporate Process based on the international standards and best practices, we use an elaborate workflow allowing us to increase project efficiency and reduce lifetimes with no loss in quality.

To improve translation quality and consistency as well as linguistic work productivity we are using a wide range of CAT-tools providing linguists with online and/or offline access to the Translation Memories and Terminology Databases or Glossaries. Depending on the project nature and Client preferences or suggestions we are working with:

  • SDL Trados
  • memoQ
  • MemSource
  • Star TRANSIT
  • Lionbridge Translation Workspace
  • XTM International
  • POEditor
  • Across
  • Idiom Workbench
  • SDLx

and others, whenever possible preferring tools compliant with the ISO 30042:2019 standard.

We are also are using more specific tools like Passolo or Alchemy Catalyst. Client proprietary tools are also used when required.

There are many different formats and tools used for documents creation around the world, mainly depending on document purpose. Most of them require pre- and post-processing to ensure that not only text is translated but also layout and functionality correspond with the source document. In most cases it require usage of DTP or similar tools used to create source document in conjunction with the CAT-tool used to maintain translation process.

Our DTP Engineers are working in both MS Windows and Mac OS environments and using almost all the more or less common tools for formatting and artwork:

  • Adobe InDesign
  • Adobe FrameMaker
  • QuarkXpress
  • Adobe PhotoShop
  • Adobe Illustrator
  • CorelDRAW
  • MS Office incl. PowerPoint, Word and Visio
  • Apple iWork incl. Keynote and Pages

and more, as well as different tools required to create animations and interactive presentations like Adobe Flash or Adobe Presenter.
